The Algo 8198 is a SIP ceiling speaker built to cover a larger space from one network drop. It runs on PoE+ (802.3at), registers with your PBX as one SIP extension, and has ports for up to three Algo 1198 satellite speakers connected with ordinary patch cables.
That saves cable runs and switch ports in a big open office, cafeteria or retail floor. Algo certifies it for air handling spaces. For a single room on a standard PoE port, the Algo 8188 is the simpler choice.

Good to know
- Registers with your phone system as a standard SIP extension, so it works with most on-premise and hosted PBXs.
- A standard 802.3af PoE port isn't enough for this one. Use an 802.3at (PoE+) switch port or injector.
- The 1198 satellite speakers are sold separately.
