Algo 8305 Multi-Interface IP Paging Adapter
The Algo 8305 is the paging adapter for older PA systems that don't have a simple line input. It registers with your PBX as a SIP extension and gives you three ways to connect to the paging system: a phone port, an 8 Ohm output and a line output.
The phone port plugs into the paging system's talk battery input, the jack an old administrative phone or FXO port used to plug into. The 8305 acts like that phone going off-hook, so it can also pass DTMF tones to select zones on a legacy zone controller. The 8 Ohm output drives self-amplified speakers directly, and the line output feeds a standard amplifier.
If your amplifier just needs a line-level input, the Algo 8301 does that job and adds a bell scheduler.
