ClearlyIP VoIP Failover Gateway with 4G
The ClearlyIP VoIP Failover Gateway keeps calls working when the internet or your hosted phone system goes down. It sits on your network as a backup registration point for up to 250 SIP phones, and when the primary connection fails, a built-in multi-carrier 4G link takes over and routes calls until it comes back.
It also has six FXS ports and two FXO ports, so it can provide dial tone to the analog gear that has to work during an outage: elevator phones, fire and security alarm panels and building entry phones. That makes it a POTS line replacement as well as a failover box.
The 4G failover runs over ClearlyIP SIP trunking, which is a separate monthly service billed by ClearlyIP. Contact us and we'll help you set up the service with the gateway.
Quick guide to the two port types: an FXS port provides dial tone, so you plug in an analog phone, fax machine, door phone or overhead paging amplifier. An FXO port takes dial tone, so you plug in an analog phone line from the phone company.

Good to know
- Failover service is not included. The 4G link carries calls over ClearlyIP SIP trunking, billed separately by ClearlyIP.
- Battery backup is optional and sold separately. Sites with elevators or public areas should plan for it.
- While failed over, calls between phones on site stay local, and the gateway can run a basic IVR and hunt groups.
