Grandstream GXW4216 V2 16-Port FXS Gateway

$509.00

The Grandstream GXW4216 V2 is a 1U FXS gateway with 16 analog ports. It's built for sites with a lot of existing analog phones, like a school, hotel or factory, that want to keep the phones and the wiring while the phone system moves to VoIP.

Each port gets its own SIP account. You can wire it with individual RJ11 cables or through the 50-pin Telco connector to a punch-down block, and Grandstream rates the ports for runs up to 6,000 ft.

Quick guide to the two port types: an FXS port provides dial tone, so you plug in an analog phone, fax machine, door phone or overhead paging amplifier. An FXO port takes dial tone, so you plug in an analog phone line from the phone company. Our Crosstalk PBX appliances are pure VoIP with no analog ports, so an ATA or gateway is how you bring analog devices or phone lines onto the system.

Good to know

  • FXS only. For analog phone lines from the phone company, use an FXO gateway like the HT881.
  • One Gigabit network port, no second port for pass-through.
  • Fax over VoIP works best when your SIP provider supports T.38. Test your fax machine on the line before you rely on it.
  • Need more ports? The GXW4224 V2 has 24.

Frequently asked questions
